What I Think
An art aspirant in the form of an art appreciation student turned into an art collector is today transformed into an art practitioner
My works in alcohol inks are transparent and have an effervescent quality about them. Sometimes they appear as a complete spectrum and at times I have left negative spaces.
I am told that the flowers I paint are enchanting. They appear exotic to the eye. My flowers are not realistic; you can’t put a name to any of them and say, here is a rose, or a Lilly, etc. Therefore, my relationship with my flowers is more due to their form. Their fragrance is generated by their aesthetic quality.
I like abstracts and can relate to the formless. It is difficult to explain here but I am quite certain about my choices.
Going forward, I want my artistic vocabulary to become stronger and that I can depict what I see, feel or think as effectively as I write and speak to convey them.
As an artist, I believe that it is important to enjoy one’s work, keep experimenting, exploring and learning and always keep the pores open to absorb more.
I hope you enjoy my paintings as much as I enjoyed painting them.
